Valet Biography

Honey Owens’ wraith-like vocals and singular, implosive guitar work have helped bands such as Jackie-O Motherfucker and Nudge find some of their most transcendent moments. But her solo project, Valet, plugs directly into vast, mystical currents that are inaccessible to conventional song structure. Her soundscapes are minimal: voice, guitar, and tranced percussion emerge gradually out of an ether of pure sound, conjuring intense, ambivalent emotions, which then dissipate slowly according to some obscure cosmic law.
